Leverage AI

Leverage AI · For non-developers · Founding pre-sale

Build a product with AI coding agents, from the first idea to the first customers.

The AI-built projects we see usually stall because they start too big and nobody asked who would pay, or because they have no finish line and never ship. The Builder's Toolkit is the process our agent team uses, written down in 7 modules. You get templates, checklists, and prompts you paste into a coding agent such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.

Modules 1 to 5 are written and each ends with a worked example from our own work. Modules 1 and 2 follow Votive, our iPad video guestbook app on the App Store, and modules 3 to 5 follow the agent setup that runs leverageai.io, up to the day we launched this toolkit. You need one of those coding agents to use it; module 3 lists the other tools and accounts, such as git and a GitHub account.

A closer look at module 1

  • A guide of about 3,400 words on deciding what to build, and how small to start.
  • The idea pressure test: 12 questions you score 0 to 2. A low total tells you to change the idea, or drop it before you build.
  • An agent interview prompt that asks the questions you wouldn't think to ask, plus a prompt for a second agent to review your answers.
  • The one-week scope cut, which sorts every feature into Must, Money, Later or Never and sets 3 to 5 checks that mean done.
  • Votive's pressure test and scope cut, including where its first test said "change".

Modules 2 to 5, also ready now

  • Module 2: a one-page PRD (product requirements document) template your agent can follow, and acceptance checks written so the agent can run them and show proof.
  • Module 3: an instructions-file template, two worked skill files (saved instructions your agent loads for a task), a verification skill that checks your app, and a tools-and-accounts check before you start.
  • Module 4: task cards, a build agent and a separate review agent, and the merge and stop rules we use.
  • Module 5: a release check on the live product, a ship list, a fresh pre-ship review and a use-test before the first user.

Checklist: Finish Module 1 (Decide)

Tick every box before you start Module 2. If a box stays empty, go back to the step in brackets.

Set up (5 minutes)

  • I made a project folder with a decide/ folder inside it. (Guide, Part 6)
  • My agent or AI chat is open in that folder.
  • I told the agent: no code during this module.

Pressure test (about 2 hours; the interview alone takes about an hour, often more)

  • I wrote my idea in three lines: what it is, who pays, the job. (02, Part 0)
  • The agent researched competitors, prices and workarounds, with links, or it marked facts "NOT VERIFIED". (Prompt A, Step 1)
  • I answered all 12 questions, one at a time. (Prompt A, Step 2)
  • The agent asked me 3 to 5 questions I would not have thought to ask, and I answered them. (Prompt A, Step 3)
  • Every score of 2 has evidence I can point to: a link, a price, or a person. (02, "How to score")
  • No buyer question (Q1, Q4, Q7) scores 2 on a forum mention alone. Each 2 there rests on a real conversation with a possible buyer, or a workaround buyers pay for. Q4 is a 2 only if I checked that I may reach buyers in that place. (02, "How to score")
  • I opened at least 2 of the agent's links myself and checked them.
  • Optional: a second, fresh agent reviewed the scores with Prompt B. Its report is saved as decide/pressure-test-review.md, with my decision next to each point.

Decision (10 minutes)

  • I applied the rule. GO = 16+ of 24 and all four key questions at 2. If a DROP row and a CHANGE row both match, it is DROP. (02, Part 6)
  • The test number (FIRST or SECOND), the decision, the date, a one-sentence reason and the biggest risk are at the top of decide/pressure-test.md.
  • If CHANGE: I changed one thing only (buyer, job, size, or the missing evidence for a key question) and ran the test again as test SECOND.
  • If DROP: I wrote what would make me look at the idea again, and moved it to my ideas file. Module done. Start again with the next idea.

Scope cut (about 1 hour, GO only)

  • I listed every feature and idea, plus the competitors' features. (03, Step 1)
  • I wrote the one job in one sentence: When / wants to / so that / They pay. (03, Step 2)
  • Every item is in Must, Money, Later or Never. (03, Step 3)
  • Must has 7 items or fewer. Money has 1 to 2 items.
  • Every Later item is in decide/later.md.
  • I marked the Must items I can do by hand for the first users. (03, Step 4)
  • I created one payment link in test mode at a payment provider (or I will use the app store's sandbox), and I know how the user gets access after paying. (03, Step 4, "Money by hand")

Done defined

  • I wrote 3 to 5 acceptance checks in Given / When / Then form. (03, Step 5)
  • Each check is about the user's job and I can run it myself on a real device.
  • The first check is the core job. If the job happens on a phone, its Then line says the main action is visible without scrolling on a phone.
  • The last check is about money: a new user pays (test mode, test card) and gets access.
  • I wrote a start date, an end date 7 days later, the stop rule "cut, do not extend", the first real user and how they will open it. (03, Step 6)

Locked

  • decide/scope.md exists and has all sections. (03, "The finished file")
  • The scope rule is in my agent's project instructions file (CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, or Cursor rules). Its last sentence points to PRD.md section 7, the one place for the checks from Module 2 on. (03, Step 7)
  • I can say the one job and the checks out loud without reading them.

Output of this module: decide/pressure-test.md (with a GO), decide/scope.md, decide/later.md, and, if you ran Prompt B, decide/pressure-test-review.md. Plus one test-mode payment link.

Next: Module 2 turns these files into a full requirements document (PRD) for your agent.

The terms, plainly

  • $49 once, for the first 20 buyers. When those spots are gone, sales pause until all 7 modules have shipped, then reopen at a higher price.
  • When the page shows how many founding spots are left, that number comes from completed Stripe checkouts and updates every 5 minutes.
  • After payment you land on your private toolkit page. Bookmark it, and treat the address like a password: anyone with the link can read the modules. Each module appears there as it ships. If you lose the link, send the email address you used at checkout through the contact page and we'll send it again.
  • Full refund on request through the contact page until Nov 11, 2026, or until two weeks after the last module actually ships if that is later. A refunded purchase's link stops working.
